His previous contract was due to expire in 2028. The 29-year-old has established himself as a world-class player since joining Barcelona from Leeds in 2022. He has helped the club win three La Liga titles, including the last two, excelling in attack alongside Lamine Yamal. He is enjoying an exceptional season after becoming the linchpin of the team’s attack. He has scored 19 goals in 13 matches across all competitions, 15 of which have come in La Liga, where he is currently the top scorer.
