Rome, 5 Nov. (LaPresse) – The trade unions have declared a state of industrial action against the 62 redundancies announced in Italy by Microsoft srl. “The continued reliance on redundancies in a group posting profits in the billions is unacceptable,” note Filcams CGIL, Fisascat CISL and Uiltucs. “The measures regarding redundancy packages and redeployment are insufficient, whilst the door to supplementary company-level bargaining remains closed.” An “immediate suspension of overtime and supplementary work, as well as flexible working hours” is planned.
