Milan, Nov. 6 (LaPresse) – “The results for the first nine months of 2026 confirm the strength of the Piaggio Group’s strategic path, with the Group recording a solid performance despite a complex global macroeconomic and geopolitical environment characterised by a sudden surge in inflation. Our various manufacturing and commercial locations around the world allow us to balance the current high production costs resulting from energy, freight and rising raw material prices, without overlooking the consequences of protectionist tensions that are still present today”. This is what Michele Colaninno, CEO of the Piaggio Group, said while commenting on the results for the first nine months of 2026. “The increase in vehicles sold worldwide (+12.2%), driven by strong performance in the Indian market, a growing presence across the Americas and substantial resilience in Europe and Asia (despite fierce competition), has led to revenue growth to 1,236 million euros and reflects the positive effects of internationalisation. Our focus on corporate productivity has enabled us to improve profitability, achieving an EBITDA margin of 16.9% and increasing net profit by 17.7% to 37.3 million euros. This financial performance has generated strong cash flow, allowing us to reduce net financial debt, which improved by almost 108 million euros compared with the end of 2025”, Colaninno added. “Looking ahead, we are focusing on the value of our iconic brands: Vespa’s double-digit success in the year of its 80th anniversary, the celebration of Moto Guzzi in Mandello del Lario and Aprilia Racing’s results in MotoGP demonstrate that continued investment in innovation, technology and safety – pillars also supported by the robotic solutions developed by Piaggio Fast Forward – represents our most effective response to anticipating the future challenges of light mobility and commercial vehicles”, he concluded.
