Milan, 6 Nov. (LaPresse) – “The President of the European Council replied to me,” said Prime Minister Meloni, “Costa sent a letter yesterday evening saying that he would find time during the informal European Council meeting in Dublin for this discussion. I also thank him because, in his letter to President Costa, he said he understood and agreed with the need to open this debate” on the urgency of officially appointing a European Union negotiator to the peace talks on the war in Ukraine. This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of her ongoing visit to Eicma, in Rho, near Milan. “I think we have raised a pragmatic issue on which many colleagues agree, and we are confident that a solution can be found,” the Prime Minister concluded.
