Rome, 6 Nov. (LaPresse) – The M5S group leaders in the Senate and Chamber of Deputies, Luca Pirondini and Riccardo Ricciardi, from the Democratic Party, Francesco Boccia and Chiara Braga; from AVS, Giuseppe De Cristofaro and Luana Zanella; from Italia Viva, Raffaella Paita and Maria Elena Boschi; from +Europa, Riccardo Magi; and from Azione, Matteo Richetti, have sent an official letter to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, requesting that she withdraw the appointment of Lega member Altieri as president of ANAC. “Dear Prime Minister, as opposition political parties, we express our strongest opposition and deep institutional concern regarding the appointment of the new Chair of the National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC),” they write, because “ANAC is neither an extension of the executive nor a arena for political patronage among the majority parties”.
