Milan, 6 Nov. (LaPresse) – “As we expected, this isn’t news that’s come out of the blue. We hope to go to court as soon as possible to sort everything out.” Andrea Sempio said this in a statement given to the programme ‘Quarto Grado’ on Retequattro, following the Pavia Public Prosecutor’s Office’s request for an indictment in the murder of Chiara Poggi. When asked if he was afraid, Sempio replied: “Afraid, no; tense, yes, because this is the situation we’re in.” Sempio was then asked: “According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, you are the one who killed Chiara: her sexual rejection is said to be somewhat similar to the rejections you speak of in certain monologues and in certain videos. Do you see a link between the two?” He replied: “No, and I don’t think the prosecution does either, because what has been brought to light recently wasn’t even mentioned in their final report.” Finally, when asked if he wished to say anything to Marco Poggi or the Poggi family, Sempio said: “Let’s hope we’re nearing the end of all this, both for us and for them. I believe we’ll finally be able to prove it.”
