Turin, 7 Nov. (LaPresse) – At present, Germany is no longer able to supply Ukraine with Patriot air defence systems. This was stated by German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius in an interview with the Berliner Morgenpost. “Anything we supplied now would not be replaced in the short term, and this would create gaps in our defence capabilities that we cannot afford,” he explained. “At the moment, we cannot do any more,” he said, adding that it is now up to other countries to contribute more. According to Pistorius, despite Russian air strikes during the winter, Moscow will not be able to turn the war in its favour. “On the ground, the Russian armed forces are not advancing; their losses are enormous: between 30,000 and 40,000 soldiers a month,” the minister stated.
