Rome, 7 Nov. (LaPresse) – One new addition and one withdrawal: the squad list has been updated. Following FIFA’s approval of Matteo Palma’s change of sporting nationality, manager Roberto Mancini has decided to call him up for the matches against France and Belgium – Italy’s final two fixtures in the Nations League group stage, scheduled for Thursday 12 November at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan and Sunday 15 November at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, respectively. For the Udinese defender, born in 2008, this marks his first call-up to the national team. Gianluca Mancini, however, will be unable to join the squad: the Roma defender, forced to withdraw due to injury, will remain with his club to undergo the necessary treatment. The Azzurri will assemble tomorrow evening at the Federal Technical Centre in Coverciano, where they will hold their first training session on Monday afternoon.
