Rome, 7 Nov. (LaPresse) – President Yitzhak Herzog has announced that he will confer the mandate to form a government on the leader of Yashar!, Gadi Eisenkot. Eisenkot has been invited to the ceremony at which the mandate will be conferred, which is to be held on Sunday at 5.00 pm at the Office of the President of the Republic. From the moment the mandate is conferred, Eisenkot will have 28 days to form a new government. Should an extension be necessary, the President of the Republic has the power, as provided for by law, to grant a further extension of up to 14 days.
