Liverpool, May 27 (LaPresse) – “The incident is not being considered a terrorist act.” This was stated during a press conference by local Deputy Police Chief Jenny Simms, commenting on the events that took place late in the afternoon in Liverpool during the parade celebrating the Reds’ league title, when a car drove into a crowd, hitting several pedestrians. Simms urged people not to share false information about the incident. “What I can say is that we believe this was an isolated incident and at this time we are not looking for anyone else in connection with it. The incident is not being treated as terrorism,” she explained. A 53-year-old British man from the Liverpool area has been detained.
