Middle East, Bruck: ‘Israeli and Palestinian flags together in the square’

Rome, 27 May (LaPresse) – ‘Those who want peace must fly both flags’. This was the message from writer Edith Bruck to La Stampa regarding the pro-Gaza demonstration organised by centre-left parties. ‘I hope that Schlein and Conte will bring Israeli flags to the streets; it is right that they fly alongside Palestinian flags. There must be peace between these two peoples,’ said Bruck, who then added that she hoped the new Pope would be able to promote a new peace process.
