Football, Inter: Bookmakers see an Allegri–Fabregas showdown if Inzaghi leaves

Rome, May 27 (LaPresse) – "There are offers from abroad, from Italy, from Saudi Arabia. But it would be crazy to think about that." These were the words of Simone Inzaghi during Inter’s Media Day, just days before the Champions League final against PSG. The Inter coach’s comments leave all doors open—including the possibility of a departure in a season where no title has yet been secured.

However, according to bookmakers, as reported by Agipronews, Inzaghi is expected to stay at Inter. This option is favored at 1.35 odds on Better and Betflag. Should he leave, the favorite to replace him appears to be Massimiliano Allegri. The former Juventus coach, who previously worked with Marotta at the Turin club, is listed at 10.0, ahead of Cesc Fabregas, who is still under contract with Como.

Further behind, at 25.0, are former Inter manager Roberto Mancini, and two former Inter players: Thiago Motta and Patrick Vieira. A sensational return of José Mourinho—who led Inter to their last Champions League title and left after achieving a historic Treble—is quoted at 50.0.
