Madrid (Spain), 28 May. (LaPresse) – Seven migrants died after a boat capsized near the pier of La Restinga, on the island of El Hierro, in the Canary Islands. Two little girls were injured and were transferred to hospital in Tenerife. Spanish maritime rescue sources reported this to LaPresse. Rescue operations are currently still underway. The boat capsized near the pier while the people on board were being disembarked. Some of the migrants concentrated on one side of the boat which tilted and overturned. Maritime rescue, the police and the Civil Guard are participating in the rescue operations. According to the Iberian media there were around 180 people on board the boat.
