Rome, 6 June (LaPresse) – Four people have been confirmed dead in the Russian attack that struck the Ukrainian capital overnight with a series of missiles and drones. The mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, announced this on social media. ‘Four people have already died in the capital,’ the mayor wrote on Telegram, providing a series of updates on the situation throughout the night. ‘Search and rescue operations are underway in several locations.’ Several fires broke out in numerous neighbourhoods following the bombings, which also hit a residential building, a civilian infrastructure and a hangar. The bombings also damaged railway tracks in the Kiev region.
