Stockholm (Sweden), Oct. 9 (LaPresse/AP) – Hungarian writer Laszlo Krasznahorkai has won the 2025 Nobel Prize in Literature for “his gripping and visionary work.” Born in Gyula in 1954, he is considered by critics to be the most important living Hungarian writer and one of the leading European authors. Among his best-known novels are Satantango (1985) and The Melancholy of Resistance (1989).
