Inflation, Istat: remains stable at +1.6% in September

Rome, 30 September (LaPresse) – According to preliminary estimates by Istat, inflation remained unchanged in September 2025 compared to the previous month (+1.6%), reflecting ‘opposing trends in prices for different expenditure aggregates’. According to the data, energy prices are recovering on a trend basis (-3.7% from -4.8% in August), while food prices are slowing (+3.6% from +3.8%), especially for unprocessed food (+4.8% from +5.6%).
