Florence, Dec. 12 (LaPresse) – “Where do workplace deaths come from, which are not decreasing but increasing? The majority of those who work are precarious workers, or undeclared workers, or workers from subcontracting companies. People are not dying because of bad luck but because of a business model based on exploitation, a business model that kills and takes into account that people may even die.” This was stated by the general secretary of the CGIL trade union, Maurizio Landini, during the general strike called against the government’s financial measures, speaking in Florence from the stage in Piazza del Carmine, where the regional demonstration ended.
