Milan, 30 January (LaPresse) – In the fourth quarter of 2025, gross domestic product (GDP), expressed in chained values with reference year 2020, adjusted for calendar effects and seasonally adjusted, increased by 0.3% compared to the previous quarter and by 0.8% in trend terms. This is according to estimates by Istat, which released preliminary GDP data. In 2025, GDP, expressed in chained values with reference year 2020, adjusted for calendar effects and seasonally adjusted, increased by 0.7% compared to 2024 (in 2025, there were three fewer working days than in 2024). The 2025 figure is higher than the government’s estimate in the October Public Finance Policy Document, which was +0.5%.
