Rome, June 23. (LaPresse) – “The pharmaceutical sector is one of the absolute excellences of Made in Italy, a strategic sector for the health, growth and security of the Nation. It is the industrial sector in which we hold the European record for productivity and competitiveness, with record growth in terms of turnover, investments and exports.” This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in a greeting message to the public assembly of Farmindustria held in Rome. “Pharmaceuticals are linked to a fundamental concept, which is value. The value of innovation, which contributes to citizens’ health and improves quality of life. The value of research, which advances treatment pathways and pushes forward the horizon of medicine. The value of security, which strengthens the technological sovereignty of the Nation and improves our resilience,” Meloni added. This is why “investing in life sciences means investing in one’s strategic autonomy. This is the vision driving the Government’s commitment, to ensure ever more effective treatments for citizens, strengthen access to medicines, consolidate our industrial leadership, and become increasingly attractive for investments,” the Prime Minister continued. “We will remain by your side, because supporting the pharmaceutical sector means investing in the future, in health, in quality employment, and in Italy’s ability to lead the way.”
