Florence, 3 July (LaPresse) – “Train punctuality is constantly improving, standing at 80 per cent for high-speed services and 91 per cent for regional services, despite record levels of construction work, trains in service and passengers carried. There may always be the odd disruption, but we are the best rail service in Europe.” This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, this morning in Florence, on the sidelines of the ceremony marking the completion of the first phase of excavation work on the two tunnels of the Florence High-Speed Link, which have now reached the main chamber of the future Belfiore high-speed station.
