Milan, 10 July (LaPresse) – “Energy prices fell following the peace agreement between the United States and Iran in mid-June, with oil prices reaching levels at the start of the month close to those seen before the conflict. Overall, inflation in the second quarter of this year turned out, on average, to be slightly lower than the projections contained in our spring forecast. However, the resumption of hostilities in recent days has once again led to a rise in oil and gas prices.” This was stated by European Commissioner for the Economy Valdis Dombrovskis at a press conference following the Ecofin meeting.
