Turin, 19 July (LaPresse) – Since this morning, numerous Facebook and Instagram users have been experiencing problems accessing the Meta-owned platforms. A message appears on the Facebook website stating that accounts are ‘temporarily unavailable’. According to Downdetector, the service that monitors outages on online platforms in real time, thousands of users in the United States have reported difficulties logging in, whilst similar reports have also come from Instagram users during the same period. The issues appear to have affected several countries, including Canada, Mexico, India, the UK and a number of European nations. Some users have reported that Facebook continues to function normally on mobile devices, but is experiencing problems when accessed via a browser on a computer. According to Downdetector, 63 per cent of reports concern the website, 20 per cent mobile devices and 10 per cent the app.
