Rome, Aug. 1 (LaPresse) – Full willingness to proceed “with the completion of the acquisition of Ilva.” Jindal Steel confirmed its commitment to the former Ilva in a letter sent to the Chamber of Deputies’ Finance Committee. “Considering that we have substantially reached an agreement with the Commissioners, under the guidance of the Government, regarding the terms of the acquisition of Ilva, we express our appreciation for the commitment shown by the Government and Parliament in ensuring Ilva’s operational continuity pending the completion of the formalities necessary to finalize the transfer,” reads the brief communication signed by Narendra Kumar Misra, Director of European Operations, and sent to the Finance Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, which is examining the decree providing for a further tranche of the bridge loan. “We also confirm our full willingness to proceed as swiftly as possible with the finalization of the agreements and the completion of the acquisition of Ilva,” it concludes.
