US: 23,000 jobs lost in July, unemployment falls slightly to 4.1%

Milan, 7 Aug. (LaPresse) – In July, total non-farm employment fell by 23,000 in the United States following an increase of 20,000 in June, whilst the unemployment rate fell slightly to 4.1% from 4.2% the previous month. This was reported by the US Bureau of Labour Statistics. Employment fell in the local public education and retail trade sectors. In the healthcare sector, however, employment continued to rise.
