Rome, Aug. 22 (LaPresse) – “The proposal to make applications for the issuance or renewal of a driving licence, vehicle registration or vehicle inspection conditional on providing a digital domicile, with a mandatory certified email (PEC), will not be included in the new Highway Code.” Italy’s Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, said this in a statement, adding that the proposal was one of numerous suggestions on which more than 100 sector associations, technicians, professionals, trade unions and companies are sending comments and recommendations to the Ministry this month. “No mandatory requirement and no new restrictions,” Salvini stressed. “We are working to simplify procedures and make life easier for citizens, and above all to ensure greater safety for everyone on Italian roads.”
