Milano, Aug. 27 (LaPresse) – Lucia Morselli, former president and CEO of ArcelorMittal Italia, has reportedly been entered in the register of suspects, with Milan prosecutors investigating allegations of fraudulent bankruptcy. The reports were published by ‘La Stampa’ and ‘La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno’, which specify that extraordinary commissioners submitted a report to the Public Prosecutor’s Office last June, giving rise to the case. According to the two newspapers, the report points the finger at the management, accusing it of a series of alleged asset-stripping operations and false accounting, as well as a strategy that, according to the commissioners’ reconstruction, would have had the sole objective of weakening the Italian steel group in favor of the Franco-Indian multinational.
