The reports were published by ‘La Stampa’ and ‘La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno’, which specify that extraordinary commissioners submitted a report to the Public Prosecutor’s Office last June, giving rise to the case. According to the two newspapers, the report points the finger at the management, accusing it of a series of alleged asset-stripping operations and false accounting, as well as a strategy that, according to the commissioners’ reconstruction, would have had the sole objective of weakening the Italian steel group in favor of the Franco-Indian multinational.
