Milan, 18 Sept. (LaPresse/AP) – Warren Buffett is stepping down as chairman of Berkshire Hathaway after holding the role for over 50 years. The company has announced that Buffett, aged 96, will become chairman emeritus, taking up the new role with immediate effect. His son, Howard, will take up the post as the new chairman of Berkshire Hathaway. Howard Buffett has been a member of the company’s board of directors since 1993.
