Milan, 26 September (LaPresse) – From 1 October, Valerio Mele, Technical Director of Stretto di Messina, will take up the post of Chief Operating Officer, reporting directly to the Chief Executive of Anas – the company’s highest technical position. It is emphasised that, over the last three years, Mele has gained extensive experience in managing the Messina Strait Bridge project; his new appointment coincides with the start, in the coming days, of the preliminary assessment by CIPESS, which will mark the beginning of a new phase in the project’s development. The new appointment at Anas was decided and agreed upon some time ago, and Stretto di Messina has already secured the technical resources necessary for the construction of the bridge, which recently received a favourable opinion from ART and the CSLLP, the statement concludes.
