Rome, 28 Sept. (LaPresse) – IP has also introduced a price cap on fuel, aligning its prices with those implemented by Eni, at €1.99 for petrol and €2.19 for diesel. It is understood that hundreds of petrol stations have joined the scheme, including those on various motorways. At present, however, the situation is patchy: at many petrol stations, the prices displayed are still in line with those of recent days. The price cap is being rolled out gradually at company-owned outlets, and there is a promise to extend it to other IP-branded petrol stations. The Azerbaijani group Socar has controlled Italiana Petroli since May, with a network of over 4,500 IP-branded outlets.
