Milan, 7 Oct. (LaPresse) – In July, output in the services sector rose by 0.4 per cent in the euro area and by 0.3 per cent in the European Union. This is according to estimates from Eurostat, the EU’s statistical office. In June 2026, output in the services sector had fallen by 0.3% in both the euro area and the EU. Year-on-year, output in the services sector rose by 1.5% in both the euro area and the EU in July. Among the Member States for which data are available, the highest monthly increases were recorded in Luxembourg (+7.6%), Greece (+5.1%) and Sweden (+1.5%). The sharpest falls were observed in Hungary (-4.5%), Denmark (-3.1%) and Slovenia (-2.7%). Among the Member States for which data are available, the highest annual increases were recorded in Greece (+16.1%), Slovakia (+8.7%) and Estonia (+8.0%). The sharpest falls were observed in Hungary (-5.4%), Romania (-4.6%) and Denmark (-4.1%).
