Rome, Oct. 7 (LaPresse) – The draft 2025-2027 National Collective Labour Agreement for the Healthcare Sector was signed today at Aran, covering around 137,000 managers of the National Health Service: 120,000 doctors and 17,000 non-medical healthcare managers. The agreement was signed by all trade union organizations. The average salary increase once fully implemented will reach 560 euros per month for thirteen monthly payments, of which 393 euros derive from the contract renewal and 167 euros from additional resources allocated by law. “With today’s signing, we have achieved an important result for a fundamental component of the National Health Service,” said Aran President Antonio Naddeo. “The new contract concretely recognizes the value, skills and responsibilities of healthcare management, with an average salary increase of 560 euros per month once fully implemented. But the value of the agreement goes beyond the economic aspect: we are introducing a significant reform of the system of assignments, strengthening protections for those who suffer attacks and providing new tools to support people and the quality of work.” Among the main new provisions are stronger protections against attacks, special leave for managers suffering from serious illnesses and an initial regulation of the use of artificial intelligence in the employment relationship. “This is a contract that has a concrete impact on work organization, professional responsibilities and protections,” Naddeo continued. “The discussions with trade union organizations were intense and constructive and enabled us to reach an agreement quickly. Reducing the gap between the contractual period and its effective implementation remains a strategic objective for Aran, because it means making collective bargaining more timely and effective.” With the signing of the draft agreement, the procedures required by law now begin ahead of the final signing of the National Collective Labour Agreement.
