Rome, 22 Oct. (LaPresse) – The national road haulage associations appreciate the immediate approval of the urgent decree-law by the recently concluded Council of Ministers, which contains the economic and regulatory measures announced by Minister Salvini during the meeting held at the Prefecture in Milan just two days ago. “This demonstrates that the malaise and discomfort of an entire category – the Associations maintain – needed immediate responses to the company’s liquidity, starting with the need to unblock payments of all the resources already allocated after the Palazzo Chigi Agreement of May 22, further appropriations for tax credits for diesel purchases and the strengthening of the mechanism for automatically adjusting the cost of diesel for transport performance. “We thank Prime Minister Meloni and Deputy Prime Minister Salvini for understanding the urgency of the moment and hope that ongoing dialogue with the National Truckers’ Federations will continue starting with the meeting of the Permanent Road Transport and Logistics Table, which will be held on Tuesday, October 27,” said Paolo Uggè, president of FAI and Unatras, on behalf of the national associations registered in the road transport register.
