Rome, 28 Oct. (LaPresse) – The Council of Ministers, on the proposal of the Minister for the Economy and Finance, Giancarlo Giorgetti, has approved the draft law on the State budget for the 2027 financial year and the multi-annual budget for the three-year period 2027–2029. Overall, the budget package amounts to approximately 26 billion euros in 2027 and 27 billion in 2028. The funding has been secured, primarily, through the activation of clauses, as well as from increased revenue from the financial sector, the gambling sector and the energy sector. A contribution has also been requested from the Ministries and the Prime Minister’s Office. This is stated in the final communiqué issued by the Council of Ministers on Wednesday.
