Siena, 29 Oct. (LaPresse) – At the MPS shareholders’ meeting, the proposal to merge with Mediobanca was rejected by a large majority. During the extraordinary part of the meeting, 63.65 per cent voted against the proposed merger with Piazzetta Cuccia, 32.91 per cent voted in favour, and 3.42 per cent abstained. When the number of votes against the proposal was announced, boos rang out from the ranks of the small shareholders in the hall.
