Milan, 30 Oct. (LaPresse) – Istat estimates that, in the third quarter of 2026, gross domestic product (GDP) remained unchanged compared with the previous quarter and showed a year-on-year increase of 0.8 per cent. Istat points out that the third quarter of 2026 had four more working days than the previous quarter and one more than the third quarter of 2025. The zero quarter-on-quarter change, it specifies, is the result of an increase in value added in the services and agriculture sectors and a decrease in the industrial sector. On the demand side, there was a positive contribution from domestic demand (excluding inventories) and a negative contribution from net external demand. The calendar-adjusted change in GDP for 2026 stands at 0.8 per cent. Istat reports this, noting that 2026 had three more working days than 2025.
