David di Donatello: Mika and an Italian actress for after Conti

Rome, March 13 (LaPresse) – Mika and a prominent Italian actress would be Rai's plan B for hosting the next David di Donatello awards after Carlo Conti's withdrawal, who has presented the last seven editions. The current artistic director of the Sanremo Festival decided not to present the David awards this year due to overexposure from the numerous formats already running on Rai1. Hence, the plan B from Viale Mazzini now focuses on a great Italian actress, whose contract is said to be in the finalization stage, and on Mika’s international appeal, who has been a judge on X Factor Italy five times.
