Harry Styles runs marathon in under three hours while incognito in Berlin

Berlin (Germany), Sept. 22 (LaPresse) – English singer and songwriter Harry Styles completed the Berlin Marathon in under three hours on Sunday. Organizers confirmed to DPA that Styles took part in the race, following earlier reports by the Tagesspiegel. The 31-year-old former One Direction member was among approximately 55,000 runners on what is widely considered the world’s fastest marathon course. Styles—reportedly running under the pseudonym Sted Sarandos and wearing a headband and sunglasses—finished the race in 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 13 seconds. A sub-3-hour marathon is a milestone achievement for many runners. Tagesspiegel had previously reported sightings of Styles training in Berlin ahead of the event. A finish line photo shows him alongside Richard Whitehead, a two-time Paralympic gold medalist in the 200 meters. Whitehead, who aims to run 20 marathons this year, shared the image on Instagram. Styles’ debut solo album, Harry Styles, topped charts in the US, UK, and elsewhere. His second album, Fine Line (2019), includes the Grammy-winning hit Watermelon Sugar.
