Music, the ‘Mia Martini Award’ goes to Valerio Scanu

Turin, Oct. 18 (LaPresse) – The final of the 31st edition of the ‘Mia Martini Award’ was held over four evenings, organized by the Culture and Entertainment Association of Bagnara Calabra in collaboration with the Calabria Region, and hosted by Claudia Cesaroni and Marco Guacci.

Valerio Scanu received the ‘Mia Martini Award 2025’.
“Gifted with a powerful, winning voice capable of naturally embracing different ranges and genres since his debut,” reads the jury’s motivation, “he has been able, over time and beyond the ‘disposable’ dynamics often present in show business, to reinvent himself with consistency, defending—at his own cost—his artistic identity, often going against the current. Freedom, authenticity, and resilience are definitely traits that align him with the character and certain phases of the complex artistic and personal story of Mimì.”

Cioffi was awarded the ‘Mia Martini Youth Award 2025’ for having “managed to blend his artistic world with a song that, in the second half of the 1970s, became a huge hit in Italy and abroad: Ti amo by Giancarlo Bigazzi and Umberto Tozzi, while respecting today’s sounds.”

This gave birth to his single Sola, performed with Mar Lucas, one of the most streamed and broadcast songs on all digital platforms.
