Music, Mumford & Sons announce new album ‘Prizefighter’

Rome, Oct. 31 (LaPresse) – Mumford & Sons have announced the release of their sixth album, Prizefighter, scheduled for February 13, 2026. The record was produced together with Aaron Dessner of The National at his Long Pond studio in New York and follows the release of RUSHMERE, the album that marked the band’s return in March 2025, reaching the top of the UK charts. Prizefighter was created during a highly inspired period for the band, with Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, and Ted Dwane writing the new songs in a spontaneous, collaborative, and dynamic process. The result is a 14-track album exploring themes of resilience and hope, with an instinctive and raw sound, enriched by collaborations with artists such as Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Chris Stapleton, and Dessner himself. Marcus Mumford stated that Prizefighter represents the peak of their creative achievement, reflecting the band’s renewed energy and enthusiasm. The project captures their commitment and personal growth, with songs ranging between light and shadow but always full of vitality. After spending much of 2025 touring the United States, Mumford & Sons are ready to return to Europe, where they will perform a series of concerts, including two shows in Italy: on November 19 at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna) and at the Unipol Forum in Milan. Tickets for the European dates are available on their official website.
