Rome, Nov. 8 (LaPresse) – “With Vessicchio’s passing, another great figure of the Festival and Italian music is gone. With his character, image, charisma, and professionalism, he had become an institution.” This is how host Carlo Conti remembered Maestro Peppe Vessicchio, who died today at the age of 69, in an interview with LaPresse. “I also had the good fortune and privilege of sharing with him the musical choices for the Zecchino d’Oro. I experienced firsthand and appreciated his great expertise. We can only be grateful for the enormous contribution that the Maestro made to Italian music and to the success of so many artists,” he added.
