Eurovision: Rai confirms participation in 2026 edition

Rome, 5 December (LaPresse) – ‘Italy will participate in the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, scheduled to take place in Vienna from 12 to 16 May 2026.’ This was announced by Rai in a statement, which reads: “As a member of the Big Five, Italy has always been among the countries that have believed and invested in the Eurovision Song Contest, contributing significantly, including financially, to its development and international success. In recent years, our commitment has grown steadily, reflecting the value we attach to an event that is the longest-running international music event, capable of uniting different cultures in a common celebration. Rai’s commitment to the competition confirms its desire to strengthen Italy’s role in promoting music, culture and entertainment at an international level. With this in mind, Rai, in the debate within the EBU, supported the participation of the Israeli public broadcaster Kan in the next edition.
