Milan, Dec. 12 (LaPresse) – La Scala Theater “is pleased to announce that Maestro Riccardo Chailly’s condition has improved and will allow him to conduct the performance of ‘Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District’ on Saturday, Dec. 13.” Maestro Chailly had suffered a slight illness on December 10 and was forced to interrupt the second performance of Shostakovich’s opera. In the hours that followed, after a brief stay at the Monzino Cardiology Center, the maestro was back in good condition.
