Eros Ramazzotti’s neighbour is seeking €200,000 in damages

Turin, 27 December (LaPresse) – Eros Ramazzotti’s neighbour has asked the singer for €200,000 in damages for alleged damage to his home in the CityLife district of Milan. This was reported by the newspaper “La Verità”. Paolo Rossi, an auditor and neighbour of the artist, claims to have been damaged by renovation work carried out by the singer, who lives upstairs. Lawyers speak of “literally devastating work that has seriously damaged the apartment below”. Ramazzotti allegedly ‘demolished and removed all the internal dividing walls, doors and fixtures and then, in a couple of days, both the floors and the underlying screed were removed through the improper and excessive use of jackhammers,‘ claim the lawyers, according to whom there was also ’a collapse, with the ceiling coming away” in one part of the house. Gaetano Pugliesi, sole director of Radiorama, the record label founded in 1994 by Ramazzotti, speaks in a statement of an “incomplete and misleading version that does not represent the situation of the properties owned by Dr. Rossi and Ramazzotti, who, to date, is the owner of the only unusable flat in the building. The proceedings before the court are ongoing and, in addition to Dr Rossi and Ramazzotti, many other parties are involved in this case, precisely to verify what and who is responsible for what happened,’ the statement reads. ‘According to our technicians, the damage that Dr Rossi may have suffered is far less than what has been reported in the press. The technical consultant appointed by the Court will, of course, verify the objective amount, with a technical and balanced judgement in which we have confidence. It is regrettable that attempts are being made to draw conclusions, which only the ongoing trial can provide, by exploiting the media coverage of the case and thus continuing to make dialogue more difficult, despite Ramazzotti’s willingness to engage despite the total absence of any direct responsibility on his part.
