Rome, Jan. 16 (LaPresse) – Italian music mourns: Tony Dallara has died at the age of 89. The announcement was made on X by Nuovo Imaie with a message of condolence. “Dear Tony,” it reads, “you were one of the so-called urlatori (screamers) and you left your mark on the history of Italian music. We will never forget you.” Born in Campobasso, Molise, on June 30, 1936, Antonio Lardera (his given name) achieved success with the song ‘Come prima’ in the late 1950s. In 1960, he won the Sanremo Festival alongside Renato Rascel with ‘Romantica’.
