Milan, 23 April (LaPresse) – “American director, actress, screenwriter and producer Maggie Gyllenhaal (The Dark Daughter, The Bride!, Crazy Heart) will chair the International Jury of the Competition at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival (2–12 September 2026), which will award the Golden Lion for Best Film and the other official prizes. The decision was taken by the Biennale’s Board of Directors, which endorsed the proposal put forward by the Artistic Director of the Film Section, Alberto Barbera.” The announcement was made by the Venice Biennale.
