Milan, 16 June (LaPresse) – Singer Bonnie Tyler is no longer in a coma but remains in intensive care following her hospitalisation. An update on her official website states that the Welsh singer is still ‘in a very serious condition’. The 75-year-old pop star was admitted to hospital last month in Faro, Portugal, where she lives, for emergency bowel surgery. She was subsequently placed in a medically induced coma. The statement says her condition is improving. Doctors are confident she will recover, but it will take time. Her concerts scheduled until August have been cancelled or postponed. Tyler is best known for her 1980s power ballad ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’.
