The 50-year-old star, whose real name was Vincent Belorgey, was a leading figure in the French Touch movement. A police source indicates that the musician had been complaining of headaches for several days. A neighbour, concerned at not seeing him, alerted the emergency services. The DJ was found at his home in Paris’s 18th arrondissement at around 10.30 pm. According to our police source, a stroke is suspected. For its part, the Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office has stated that “an investigation into the causes of death has been opened in order to determine the cause, as no suspicious elements were found at the scene by the emergency services”. The artist rose to fame by composing the soundtrack for the 2011 film *Drive*, starring Ryan Gosling, which featured the famous song ‘Nightcall’. He later performed it again alongside the singer Angèle and the band Phoenix during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
