Rome, 30 July (LaPresse) – The life and career of Giorgio Armani will be the focus of an Italian television series produced by Lux Vide, in collaboration with the fashion house founded by the iconic designer. This is according to Variety. The biographical series on Armani, as yet untitled and intended for the international market, will be directed by Ferzan Ozpetek. “I knew, admired and spent time with Giorgio for many years, both on official occasions and in more private settings,” Ozpetek said in a statement to Variety. “We used to talk about cinema, of which he was a great enthusiast and an expert. But also about art, fashion, architecture and, I would say, life itself. I saw him as a visionary and a brilliant artist. But also as a down-to-earth and very determined man.” The director added: “The opportunity to tell his story is both an exciting honour and a challenge that lies in capturing the many facets of such a complex, original and fascinating personality.”
