Rome, 5 August (LaPresse) – Gian Luca Farinelli is the new artistic director of the Fondazione Accademia del Cinema Italiano – David di Donatello Awards. The appointment was approved today by the foundation’s board of directors, chaired by Silvia Calandrelli and comprising board members Francesco Giambrone, President of Agis; Alessandro Usai, President of Anica; Giorgio Carlo Brugnoni, Director-General for Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs at the Ministry of Culture; and Salvatore Nastasi, President of Siae, which today becomes a founding member of the Foundation. “I would like to thank Chairwoman Silvia Calandrelli and the entire Board of Directors of the Italian Film Academy Foundation,” said Farinelli. “Their trust makes me particularly proud.
