Milan, 19 Aug. (LaPresse) – Frank Beard, ZZ Top’s long-standing drummer, has died at the age of 77. He passed away on Tuesday at his ranch in Richmond, Texas, surrounded by his family. ZZ Top have sold over 50 million records and topped Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with six singles. The band, formed in 1969, is known for hits such as ‘Sharp Dressed Man’ and ‘Legs’. They have retained their original line-up for over fifty years. Their unique style and sense of humour have made them popular in Hollywood and on MTV. Beard is survived by his wife, Debbie Meredith, and three children.
